Misty Mountain Specialties was etablished by David Lee in 1997 to feed his passion for fungi, the forest-crafted “food of the gods”. David changed the mushroom scene by introducing oyster mushrooms to Canadian chefs. Today, Misty Mountain Specialties supplies chefs and consumers with a wide variety of products including fresh and dried mushrooms as well as other unique products such as wild fiddlehead greens, wild berries, and sea asparagus. Besides providing the local market with year-round domestic and exotic mushrooms, the company has also become a leading mushroom suppliers to the international marketplace.
