Naledo Truly Turmeric

Naledo was founded by Umeeda who was greatly influenced by her mom on cooking curry. As part of her volunteer job, Umeeda had a chance to attend an Indian diaspora conference where one farmer showed her the turmeric that grew wild in Toledo, Belize. Amazed by the quality of the turmeric, Umeeda experimented for months and came up with the recipe for the world’s first wild crafted, whole root turmeric paste – Truly Turmeric! She started Naledo to build a social enterprise that would support farmers to earn extra income, employ youth, improve health around the world, and produce products sustainably.
